Mr Camouflage Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Hi Pantah I wonder if you could ask someone at Ebbro a question for me, if its not too much trouble. Quote
pantah Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Here is a pic of an Ebbro model I have of a 65 Silvia. This is not the same colour as my Silvia. Quote

sydney mike Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I was just wondering if any members collect Ebbro model cars. Are they easily available in Australia? How much are they etc etc etc...... Lol, check out my personal collection I used to sell ebbro via my online store and ebay, but the Hong Kong sellers undercut Aussie sellers to the point it was not profitable. The 1:24 scale are exquisite. I have a red and a white 240Z in this scale, also the brown 240ZG. Last time I checked the 1:24's retailed for about AU$195 and the 1:43's for AU$50-$99. Ebbro's are now no longer limited production. The older ones were and for example Datsun 1200 utes and 1600 4drs were regularly fetching AU$100+ on ebay. My old pic hosting page: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~wkmf/gallery.html Some of my personal collection: Quote
pantah Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Cool ,Mike....... I was at Ebbro today.Surrounded by models of cars I want to own....... Pity I had to walk down the road and go to work.......... Quote
pantah Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 LBS1969 mine is this colour...... Quote
Lynton Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 That was the standard color brought into Australia, the only other originals I have seen in Oz were, navy blue, and white, all with bone color interiors. Lynton Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 19, 2010 Moderators Posted January 19, 2010 Many years ago I remember a silver colour Sylvia running around in Melbourne...in a sorry state unfortunately. Owner wasn't interested in selling though. Don't remember the model year but it was pre 70. Quote
pantah Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Well, 49 or 50 came here...I know of 1 that has gone overseas.....There cant be too many left...How many? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 20, 2010 Administrators Posted January 20, 2010 Many years ago I remember a silver colour Sylvia running around in Melbourne...in a sorry state unfortunately. Owner wasn't interested in selling though. Don't remember the model year but it was pre 70. Not sure if I saw the same 1, I distinctively remember it was a Brown colour though and the boot lid was dented inward in a triangle fashion. The steering wheel was no longer original replaced with a SAAS item from memory (8 years ago this was) and I don't think it had the standard wheels anymore. I recall it being parked near my high school which was in Caulfield (Glen Eira College) and I later saw it being driven in a Chadstone car park. I remember dragging my mates outside of school boundaries to go see it, I'm glad I did that now. I've never seen another 1 in person. I remember speaking to Warren at Zworx about it, he mentioned the owner wasn't selling it. So I figure it may have been the same car. I do wonder where it is now, I only hope it wasn't scrapped. Administrators gav240z Posted January 20, 2010 Administrators Posted January 20, 2010 Oh and I do recall another Red Silvia (repainted) being sold on an Australian Datsun forum. The tail lights were replaced with Datsun 1200 coupe lights. Not sure where she is now either. Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Well, 49 or 50 came here...I know of 1 that has gone overseas.....There cant be too many left...How many? I know of a few more that have gone overseas. The blue one from the anglefire website went to NZ i believe. There's one in Spain that was a Perth car originally. There's one in England that was also an aussie car. The red one went from Perth to Adelaide, and was then sold. Not sure where it is now. Quote
Lynton Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I have got a feeling the red one you are talking about Gav may have gone to the country, is female owned as I recall her name was Sue Scott by memory? Lynton Quote
