WogsRus Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 can somone tell me what the differnace is in NA VS Fuel injected cams? I assume all shinder cams are internally oiled as per 280zx not 260z. Also one of these has come up for sale http://schneidercams.com/270-80F-12_LE6.aspx A bit of an overkill for a street car with a 10:1 comp ratio and tripple webers. LOL. Quote
RB30X Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 To me that doesn't look too hard core at all. I'd actually go bigger? Quote
WogsRus Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 well yeah they are $120 for me, but i have no idea what the differance is for NA vs Fuel injection for a cam? as schneider sell both types Quote
RB30X Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 The site lists cams in categories of Turbo, NA, and EFI. Why are they only $120? Quote
hunterzed Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Maybe they're trying to move them. Old stock or something. Quote

Yeah that is what i mean, i would have thought NA and FI is the same, but apparently not? still awaiting their feedback. there is an ebay store in the Us having a clerance. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 7, 2010 Administrators Posted January 7, 2010 Yeah that is what i mean, i would have thought NA and FI is the same, but apparently not? still awaiting their feedback. *I think* the NA camshaft are the non-internally oiled cams. My Schneider cam needs to use the oiler bar (the older style of camshaft lubrication). I'm guessing the FI is on the newer heads where the cams are internally oiled. From memory you can interchange cams between heads without too much headache. Eg: You can use the oiler bar cam on a later head like N42 / P90 by installing the oiler bar. Quote
