Hi all

 

Just went for the pre-christmas thrash of the zed (before I lock it up for silly season)....anyway, had some brake problems a couple of weeks back (own fault...didn't check fluid...dumb).

 

Anyway, even with a fully bled brake system, my zed lacks 'bite' (always has).

Pedal comes in quite late and while it pulls up, I believe it should be pulling up quicker.

 

I run R32's on the rear and standard front brakes.

 

I believe it is either proportioning or possibly a booster issue but am no experts so....

 

1) Does anyone know a good (and reasonable) workshop for brakes?

2) Any affordable tips for fixing the problem? (I err for number 1 as brakes not worth F,,,ing up)

 

Will likely send it in April as working in Japan and car going to be locked up till then (and I will be broke till then!).

I had Daniel at DJM automotive replace my master cyclinder and rebuild my front calipers and I've been very happy with them, I could have taken my car to a brake specialist but because Daniel knows zeds and drives one himself I was more than happy to have him work on my 240.

Sweet, Daniel was at the top of my list....as he originally tuned my zed :-)....and it could use a retune too.....so that may be most convenient.
