Toecutter Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 A friend at work has decided to build a slot car track in his garage. Over the past few weeks he's been showing me some of the cars and pics of the track. I thought it would be fun to build a car in 1/32 scale from scratch based on my real car. So eventually I found one on e-bay and I'm waiting for delivery. I've added a pic of the resin moulded car and a similar track that my friends building in his garage. Will post pics of the car when painted up in red with ZG flares, big wheels and rear fin. Quote

wedgey Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 hi all the zcar club sydney went to the slot car track in Waitara up near Hornsby for one of our outings we had a ball the cars we used were getting around in 8-9 seconds a lap 8 cars and 8 tracks we all had a go of each of the cars over a period of time we choice 1hr so you would get a good car then not so good and a better track over the 204 laps we did, it was down to only 1/2 a lap between first and second and third was not that far behind when we finished he demonstrated one of his car 4 seconds a lap he said the lap record was 1.86 seconds unreal time robert Quote
