yutry4 Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Thinking about getting a set of these, just need help with jet sizes.... Its going on an L28, i would say midly worked...Cam, Ingnition, Exhaust any help would be ace Cheers. Quote
Thomo260 Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 A lot depends on your venturi size. But if you are running a size 36mm, then I would start with a main jet of around 1.50 and air correctors of 1.90. That will get you running. Then spend time fine tunning and have Patience. Quote
chris240 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 welcome.. do you have a zed ? maybe introduce yourself before you ask the big questions. Quote
zrevival Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I'm interested in this thread also - given the main and air corrector recommendations above - what elumsion tube and idel jets would you use? Quote
Thomo260 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Emulsion tubes are very tricky. Stick with what the carb comes with cause unless you have unlimited time on a dyno then don't bother as the differences can be impossible to detect with out the dyno. You wont know what idle jets they will need until you get it running and do the testing to find out if they are to rich or lean. You really need to have lots of different size jets on hand when tunning. Can get very frustrating if you don't know what you are doing. Where are you located? East side of what? Quote
yutry4 Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Thanks. just did an intro....here... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6087.0.html and thanks for the feed back! Im located the east side of melbourne, out warrandyte way. While on topic, any good/reputable tuners around these parts? Cheers guys. Quote
zrevival Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 There is a ton of info on setting up DCOE's on Hybridz - unfortunatly there is lots of conflicting information and it's quite difficult to pull the information you want off the Weber thread due to its length Have been doing some research on this and the best website i've found with the clearest/simplist description on setup is actually a triumph website below. While the recommended jet setup is different (obviously) the setup information is very clear. http://www.tjwakeman.net/TR/WeberDCOEinfo.htm Quote
Thomo260 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 This is also a good read. A lot of info on this site aswell but it's mainly for running doubles. http://www.teglerizer.com/dcoe/inglese/inglesetuning.htm Quote
