Hey guys,

Me and a bunch of my mates are heading out to willow bank again for another test and tune night. It is good fun getting your car down the track, although it feels a lot faster then it looks and it is addictive. At this stage it is tentatively organised for Wed 9th Dec.

All the details about the event are listed here.

http://willowbank.com.au/eventdetails.aspx?qstEventID=60

You will need safety gear like a helmet etc.

Here is a video of last time I went (Going for a 13 second pass this time)

Last time we had a few 10 second bikes, a datsun 620 sr20det work ute (with tools and all), and a few other cool rides.

One thing you have to know though is that one of my good mates has an old VG valiant with completely stock 245ci straight six. His quickest to date was a 16.10, he really wants to get a 15 before he starts modifying the engine. If he does beat any of your Z cars, I will NEVER hear the end of it. "I thought that your jasmine car was a sports car brad?". So keep that in mind if you bring your car.

Yeh, shes a very hot chick without the helmet.

WTF?

HA!

Yeah some tool (he is reading boost cruising what do you expect) thought I looked like a girl. Must have some very low standards to think I am pretty enough to be a girl.

The second comment was one of my mates being sarcastic and giving me crap.

I actually went slower unfortunately. First run I spun the tires all the way through first. All my runs I was still only doing 2.5s 60fts which sucks. I also couldn't get the car to develop manifold pressure like I wanted.

You can all read the above as Excuse, Blah Blah Blah I can't drive, Excuse, Excuse Excuse

A pair of drag slicks would help; even a second hand set that are still pretty good. But the only problem would be other parts in the driveline would get a thorough workout. It's all in the 60ft times..

I let the tires down to about 22psi but that didn't help much as I couldn't keep the tires warm (too long between runs).

I am not too fussed with killing driveline gear. Got a new gearbox to go in (which will require a different driveshaft) and CV half shafts should be coming soon. Only thing that isn't covered is an LSD r200, so I guess that is the thing that will break. HA.

You'd be suprised how much abuse an R200 can take..if it's just drag racing you want to compete in, just look out for a locker 4.1 etc.. If there's no cornering involved, a locker is a cheap way for it. If its your daily driver ignore the whole post!

I am only worried about 1 wheel burnouts.

The above post I did was just a joke saying that the diff will break because that is the only thing I haven't got a backup for.
