electronics Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 The pics tell the story. Restored this 5 years ago on my sons 21st and kept it for his 25th birthday. Now he wants to sell it. These are the links I don't care to sell it but have been told http://www.autocult.com.au/Post.aspx?id=177 Everyone has his opinion on what a car is worth. You be the judge and no stupid questions. Its fully restored Has all the service records since day one has 105,000 genuine accountable KM. Has not been driven much at all since 1999 when it had 96,900km and had the a/c regassed.. Only taken to Pride of ownership days 30K west of here. Was driven to Adelaide and back once. Curent KM about 105,000. Was full repainted in Candy Apple with a prismatic overlay by the previous Gippsand owner. History is on the web. It is 5 speed manual. Has had all the suspension redone, brakes, pads, etc. email only. LOCATED HAMILTON VIC 3300 FYI.. I dont keep rusted out heaps of crap 280ZX's in my shed they have all gone to Smorgans Steel roundup and the money donated to the Wannon RFB. Zedman was not a rebuilt rust bucket it was kept the way it is all its life by a doctor owner an then his son who sold it to me after his wife had a baby. You won't find any rust in zedman like you are used to seeing in other rusted out 20ZX's The only way you know a car is to come and look. I would not sell a car for $10K sight unseen or ever consider buying one without looking. Better hurry though as my son has been transfered from Townsville back to Melbourne he arrives in 30 days and once he sees zedman again it will not be for sale. cheers. It has been undercover since 2004. 2c. Quote
WogsRus Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 You should have no trouble getting 10K for it, unfortunalty not much of a fan of 280's but dam that look hot. Good luck, love the wheels and the colour scheme, one tidy car that's for sure. Quote
zedfan86 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Thats a very tidy 280! Good luck with the sale. Quote
garvice Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 You mention that it hasn't been driven in 10 years, which worries me a bit when trying to sell a car. All your rubber fuel lines, brake lines etc will be hard and could be cracked. Your greased moving parts will need inspection/re-greasing before putting k's back on it. I'd be a bit uneasy with suspension/brakes that have been redone and sat for 5 years. Also, how did you restrain yourself. You haven't driven it for 10 years, yet you rebuilt it 5 years ago? I would have gone nuts not getting to drive it. Quote

I would have gone nuts not getting to drive it. Maybe I should say not much like 1500km in 10 years to the Pride of OWNership day at the old farts club each year. Its now on club plates. I now understand why they all had mainly autos because manuals go too fast for the standard design. I did say it has been fully restored so in the past 5 years it has had an RWC for Club plates and brake hoses, pads, calipers, seals, lower ball-joints and bushes. It is a good as it looks and goes a well as it looks. My only complaint it dos not stop well. Not from 160 anyway. So you drive it sensibly at 100kph lugging at 2600rpm in 5th. I fixed it for my son it is his 25th present. We have it insured with Shannons who put its value at $10K. The rules are clear <<<<3500 k per year to stay insured with them. Quote
electronics Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Just curious, would you be interested in selling the plates on their own? Thanks Yeah ZEDMAN plates are avalable they are hanging on the wall. 1 slim line and one normal for th back make an offer. VIC only. Quote
electronics Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 clarification needed, 5 speed manual or [ as in pics ] auto That was 2004 we fitted a JDM fairlady 5 sp cr box out of a car we crushed as well as LSD R200 and the red interior. The red seats I hated so we put the tans back in which I also hate. I have a set of JAP red leather from the JDM fairlady which if I had $1000 would get real leather put back on. Incidentally it has a real spare under a real original cover bolted in the back. Real tool kit still in its holder. And real handbooks right back to the ship it came on.. Quote
