hey just wondering if any 1 can give me some info i have this tank or bottle in my zd but its not hooked up its on the drivers side on the side of the car in the engine bay any 1 got any idea what it is

Yer if its the white one thats close to the firwall on the drivers side its windscreen washer bottle

it should have plastic tubing going to under the cowl panel that leads to the sprayers, if it's not hooked up, your sprayers not working...get some aquarium tubing and hook it up

thanks for all the info but for some reason it has no jets and the bottle is half melted at 1 stage i think my zd had a engine fire thanks for everything

nissan sells the washer bottle & motor for around $100..

just boughtr one for my dad's zed. cause finding an old one with working motor is a challenge.

$100! Getting another washer bottle I can understand would be difficult, but if you find a used one with a stuffed motor I bought a generic motor from Supercheap Auto that went straight in, just needed to mod the wiring to suit. Costed about $20.

depends on what you're after....my father is obsessed with originality in his zed (it's not even an early one though)

I just scavenged a couple of bottles (much like what Rod did, except I swapped for an original motor from a shot bottle, but it was hard to come by.)

the stange thing is the motor sounds fine but the jets have been remove

Are you sure the jets are missing?

 

The jets might still be there under the cowling panel.

 

Take a photo of the firewall a i'll see if i can point them out.
