RUST!!!!!!! URGENT HELP!!!!!!!

i just found under the driver seat that the rust is eating the chasis, also there's rust coming up into the floor pan .... how do i fix it?? can it still be saved?  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Depending how much worse you either weld patches over the rust or cut out the entire floor and wled in new floors. It can certainly be saved if thats the only area.

Fairly simple... just fit a new floor and rails.

ive looked at the bottom of my 240z again and rust is starting to surface. how do you cut the floor without putting the shell on the spit? is there a place that does this kind of job? im out of space at my place to work on any cars... 5 cars all parked in the front yard

Dale's Zed had a little rust in the same area and it's already been cut out. I cut very generously around it from the inside of the car trimming on the rear side of the front seat mount, almost the entire with of the drivers side floorpan and cutting around the Chassis Rail.

Keep an eye on the above thread as i'll post up some pics tomorrow which will involve extending the Chassis to the rear including the area you mention.

I had some in same spot (amongst others  )  Cleaned it up made a patch and welded it in, both on top and bottom.  Last page of project thread shows it... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,3987.30.html  It will come back one day, but for now I'm doing a renovation not a restoration
