Will my car start without the dash and interior compenents installed?

Hey all,

Excuse me if this is a dumb question, but i was wondering if i can still start my car with the dash out.  All the car internals are stripped, not including the steering column section.

Is there any vital components that are needed to start the car or will it fire up without any problems?

Thanks for the help

Unless I've missed something here I take it your talking about an old Z??

I've been starting mine from the engine bay even since I dodgied up some temperary wiring. You can do this without a dash, steering collum or key etc. You need battery power to the coil and starter motor and fuel pump if you have one then engage the starter soleniod.

Reason the tacho is needed is because it supplies the coil power. Just run a wire from the + of the battery to the + of the coil and it should run.
