Original paperwork

When I bought my zed well over 2 years, the mate of a mate said that he did have all the original paperwork for my zed "somewhere" in the house but couldnt find it....well during a spring clean last week it all turned up 

I gave up hope ages ago..

Im now in possesion of for my zed:

-original purchase papers from 7/8/73 from Bob Smith Motors Parramatta for the sum of $5000

-original NRMA pre-vehicle inspection from 6/8/73

-NRMA comprehensive insurance certificate from 1974 (the value was $5000 & the premium was $169.95)

- glove box handbook (in top nick)

- warranty & service booklet impeccably filled out

- june1973 Datsun dealers guide

- AM radio operating guide + more papers

 

with all the paperwork In tact I was able to track most of the cars History from day 1...the owner moved from Normanhust in Sydney to Canberra in July 1974 , from there the car was serviced every 3-4000 miles by Lennock Motors, then Auto-tech fyshwick took over for 5 or so years, then Morwood motors took over from 1993-1995...details are  little sketchy from 1980-1985..

The car I think changed hands in the mid 90's and then again to the 2nd last owner in 2000..whoever owned the car for most of its life fanatically serviced it.

Its amazing reading all the stuff !!

for some reason I thought the owner lived in the Dubbo region, but for 20 years the car resided 3kms from where I lived and then in a suburb called Macquarie which was 1 km from home, then over to Glen who lived 5kms away !

The glovebox handbook is a bit of a crack-up..the bit about having to re-set the clock daily is priceless.

This bundle of papers has added a little bit of value to my zed..Im rapped

I had all the paper work as-well, Till some little jerk at work throw it all away.

 

Oh well sh$t happen's....

 

Hold onto that paper work somewhere safe.. :-)

That's fantastic Chris!  Now to squirrel it away somewhere safe.
