terry Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Hi folks I'm new to this forum, and in a sense I'm a foreigner. I have a Morgan and would you believe that a well tried brake upgrade is to fit rear Z drums (suitably machined) to the rear. I am after a pair of drums in servicable condition, and I was hoping this forum might produce some from someone who has fitted rear discs, or maybe is breaking a car for bits Cheers Terry Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted August 22, 2009 Moderators Posted August 22, 2009 Hey Terry, Depends where you live; my carrier pigeon can't fly too far with a pair of drums hanging from his feet.. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Yes Terry - we need to know where you are first! BTW, what model Moggy? +4? +4 2/2? +8? Quote
terry Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks for the replies folks. Sorry, I forgot to say that I was in Canberra. The car is a 1982 Plus 8. It goes well but I sometimes feel the need to pull it up, hence the upgrade to rear alloy drums which will take a few hard stops. The Moggie people tell me they're as good as a disc conversion, but I'll bet the Z modifiers have their own opinion on that. I am grateful for the responses. I look forward to hearing from you again Terry Quote
