DaveDimo Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 hey guys, anyone have any of these parts 5 speed manual gearbox (any condition) pedal box flywheel. clutch fork original clutch line sandwitch plate as you can work out im doing a manual conversion on my 74 2+2 260z all the other stuff like master,slave and clutch will be brand new and the box will be getting reconditioned thanks guys Quote

I've had to several times have a peek behind the flywheel and with the one piece plate, that would be impossible. Just thought that would be one less thing you have to chase up. If you prefer the one piece, I have one here I'm not using.. Quote

Cheers Presume you mean gearbox here, and yes a 280zx gearbox will fit into a 260, but the front edge of the gear lever hole in the floor needs trimming by about 15mm from memory. Quote

Or like what I did and just "massage" a gear shifter in the shape of an S to clear the shifter hole. Works but damn it looks ugly! Gearbox's are the same physically but ratio's are different and oil filler plug is on the opposite side. There are many zeds running around with 280 boxes installed. Quote
