Steering rack grease reservoir

Hello

I am missing the above can I just blank off the hole  Detrimental? 

Or fit a grease nipple?

Or spend a lot and buy repro? Its quite small

Thoughts appreciated.

Not required for proper function, was an overflow really, and only featured on early models before a revised rack was used. Just plug it, unless you want originality, in which case its worth buying a repro item.
