Taz Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 just a quick question. i have some performance superlites on my 2+2, and the other day i took one off due to a flat and noticed the wheel studs have been grinded shorter. im just stressed about the wheel nuts being being held on by less thread. can someone plz tell me why the previous owner would of done this?? xa1973 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 My guess.......... Could possibly have been damaged, but if all four wheel sets have all been ( ground ) down they are a longer stud from something else altered to suit the nuts......... Quote
C.A.R. Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Studs might have been bottoming out on the inside of the nuts. Measure the studs vs the w/nut depth & see what the difference is. Quote
Taz Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 doubt its damage due to it being on all 4 wheels. will measure tomorrow, i need to buy new w.nuts anyway due to the current ones being to fat and near impossible to get a brace in Quote
