fomoco_44 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Hi All, Been fiddling with the engine again and thought I'd ask the experts what type of cam I have in it. Cast in to the shaft are 'Japan' and 'E30'.....is this the standard cam? Also, bought the engine off a wrecker who said it was an L26, how can I check to make sure? Quote
C.A.R. Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 That's a stock cam. There's SFA difference between the stock cams - it won't matter which one you have. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 30, 2009 Moderators Posted May 30, 2009 To make sure it's an L26, where the engine number is, on the drivers side of the block in the top left hand edge just below the cylinder head (as you are standing on the drivers side of the car next to the front wheel) you will see the number; L2X XXXXXX. It will be either L26 or L28 etc.. Quote
