Hey guys

my 1974 260z is having issues when you start the car and don't have a load on it runs OK. you can hear some kind of a miss.  when you start driving down the road it bucks (only way i know how to explain it)  it acts like its not getting enough gas. so i replaced all fuel filters and did a rebuild on the carbs and checked all my grounds...added a motor to body ground because i couldn't find one, replaced coil, cap, plugs, wires all that stuff and well nothing i seem to do changes the way the car is running. after replacing the plugs ran for a few minutes and the plugs have alot of carbon on them Ive played with mixture and it really don't do nothing..also i cannot get the car to drop bellow 1k RPM without it sounding really crappy. what do i need to check next

First suggestion oil check you oil pressure light and if you have enough in ect maybe bits in your oil so an oil change might be good. Second and more likely guess is worn injectors. So check the injectors first then and oil change.

If you have a timimng light, check that and make sure its at around 10'. Do you have a electronic distributor or points? If you have apoints one, I thoroughly recommend an elec one before you throw too much cash at it.

What octane fuel are you using? If you are using 91 octane try to boost with octane booster or run 95 octane minimum. I had a similar experience and found that fuel was the issue.
