Rocker Cover painted

Here is a pic of my rocker cover. I taped it up (covering all holes), blasted it, polished the raised "Datsun OHC" bit and then painted. Then scraped of the paint on the raised parts and re-polished. Also polished the paintwork.

 

But,

I think I did it the wrong colour. Should have maybe done it black? Looks good, but out of place under my engine bay I think.

 

Opinions? Should I take it off and redo?

I like chrome and black rocker covers myself. TBH it looks a little out of place, but not bad!

I like it, but perhaps I am a little biased.

To be honest, I think yours looks great in the black engine bay, I am considering doing mine in a matt black since my engine bay is white.

 

What paint did you use?

Prime it first?

 

My Previous owner did mine and didn't prepare it properly because now it is flaking off a bit.

I was thinking about doing it my self, except to many people have now so im going to go for a different colour

Do a photoshop in black and see what you think then decide its a personal preferance thing.
