luvemfast Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Here is a pic of my rocker cover. I taped it up (covering all holes), blasted it, polished the raised "Datsun OHC" bit and then painted. Then scraped of the paint on the raised parts and re-polished. Also polished the paintwork. But, I think I did it the wrong colour. Should have maybe done it black? Looks good, but out of place under my engine bay I think. Opinions? Should I take it off and redo? Quote
stevo_gj Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I like chrome and black rocker covers myself. TBH it looks a little out of place, but not bad! Quote
garvice Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I like it, but perhaps I am a little biased. To be honest, I think yours looks great in the black engine bay, I am considering doing mine in a matt black since my engine bay is white. What paint did you use? Prime it first? My Previous owner did mine and didn't prepare it properly because now it is flaking off a bit. Quote
zzzzed Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 i like the red I plan on doing mine in red wrinkle paint Quote

tbscobraZ Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Do a photoshop in black and see what you think then decide its a personal preferance thing. Quote
