Does anyone know where to get some in Sydney??

Go and check out some 4wd forums like 4wdaction, outerlimits, overlander etc and see if anyone is wrecking a '80s through '90s hilux.  Make sure they have the S12 stamp on the side of them.  Yes they do bolt straight on and are good, though you will probably need to upgrade your brake MC to 15/16th to suit.  But do remember they are quite heavy..

I have this upgrade and have had no problems using the stock master cylinder, although mine WAS reconditioned...

Hey Carl there's always hilux caliper's on Ebay..

I just got a set for $120 del..They come up every other week..

If you need to throw a rubber kit though them I've got the part number if you need it..

Try same wreckers that do hilux parts you'll get a set for around that price..

Have a look at this write up with step by step instructions and pictures.

Toyota S12-8 Brake Upgrade

The stock calipers on 70 to 78z's can be upgraded by bolting on Sumitumo S12-8 calipers from early 1980's Toyota 4X4 trucks.
