Hi All ..

Am considering changing my vented 260Z bonnett to a genuine 240Z item on my 71 240Z project and in doing so moving to Glass or Carbon. Has anyone used the 240Z Alfa bonnet replacement? and if so how have you found the fit and finish (good / bad ) and reliability in terms of cracking / fading / shaking etc?

Cheers

Scott, not happy with the way it was not a bolt on bonnet..

Have to drill your own mounting holes from scratch..

Than you cant use the spring load thing that holds it up, Have to disconnect it.

Fitted bonnet wasn't happy with the hood side rubbers, So replaced rubbers though Warren.

Had to redrill the boonet to fit the bonnet latch, Every than fitted and lined up and it still doesn't fit prefect plus it shakes when i drive it.

Getting the dents repaired in the original bonnet and fitting it back on.

You purchased the wrong bonnet then. They offer two types one that uses the original hinges and one that is a pin on (for motorsport). How much will you want for the bonnet you got?

i got the skin bonnet. pretty happy with it as i didn't expect it to fit perfectly anyway but it did. the only problem was the underside had a support ridge running all around it which hit the struts and radiator support. to me that tells me these guys have not fit one on a body themselves or they expect you to shave off in certain places.

the work itself was good. i'd buy from them again.
