Why is this happening? It seems to come loose pretty easily. I have one of those pulleys from a skyline, with the 3 runs on it. Is it most likely the pulley out of balance, or the engine, something else?

I,ve just gone though this.

Make sure you use a heap of thred lock (loctite)

Put the hand brake on, Put it in gear , Have someone hold the brake down.

And tighting the hell out of it with heaps of loctite on the tread of the bolt.

Hey Guys

Hang On

First of all remove the bolt and check the thread, run a die over it, if its stuffed buy a new one,

but wait theres more......

Run a tap through the crank, check and clean build up, once this is done repeat, if the tap spins in too easily by hand it is worn you will need to go over size

If all is good, ( loctite industrial machine thread lock ) and torque to 118 to 157 NM or 87 to 116 FT LBS in the old language, and dont forget a grip faced washer

Yep.

Also run a white line across the head of the bolt to the side of the pulley - this

will let you know if it's moved or not...

Ok so this is waht I got, tighten the F out of it, and if it's still a problem, do it properly! :)

Thanks!

You haven't got it...The main ingredient is Loctite
