reverendzed Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Hi Glen, are you still getting the other L28 built? I thought that was the plan, what made you change to RB? Rev. Quote
Glen Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Hi Rev, i changed my plans after a lot of research. Also i had an oppotunity to do so. Mick was going to get a motor built after me so when i saw James put up the RB again i rang Mick to see if he wanted to take over the L series which is nearly finished. The RB is fixing a few issues i have right now, i still needed to fix my gear box aswell as i have a loaner in the car at the moment from Mick. Even though the L28 was/is being built at a very good rate it was getting a bit high for me as i still need the basics like some new rubber on the back. Im sure i will be jealous when Mick turns the key but i have to be realistic aswell. In the future i can drop a RB25de head onto the RB30 bottom end and that will give me a nice power upgrade by upping the CC from 56 to 63 also going 4 valve per cyclinder and twin cam. Should up the comp ratio aswell to 10-1 using the RB25 pistons. Then i can change cams and cam gears and bingo i will have the power i was expecting from the L28 at a smaller price. I even played with the idea of using my triple's on the RB but its hard to go past the simplicity of Injection. Quote
