Carl_280ZX Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I am in the process of doing up my dads 1982 Nissan 280zx after his passing and so far things are going fairly well. My one main stumbling block so far seems to be the fuel pickup / sender unit. I have found a place in America that will rebuild mine but this means taking the obvious chances with freight both directions and has me fairly concerned. Does anyone out there know were I can: 1. Purchase a new or very good second hand unit, 2. Get my unit repaired, 3. List something that will fit in the standard tank and work. Hopefully someone can throw me a bone. Quote
gilltech Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Can you put up some pictures? Maybe it's much the same as the earlier cars, ie. 240/260/280Z. Quote
ScottyD Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Your local Nissan dealer might be able to help if you have the correct part number, I’ve attached a link go to 280z engine page then fuel tank then you can see the sender unit and it’s part number. http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978 Quote
Carl_280ZX Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 I'll post some pictures soon but from what I have been told Nissan and aftermarket suppliers stopped making them years ago. Quote
