scrumpy Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Anyone out there used Cannon intake with triple webers on an N42 head? I'm worried that the fuel injections notches in the head only leave 3-5mm seal for the inake to the head. Is this a problem? Also; if there is a little corrosion on the head water holes that have to be TIG welded to build them up; will this compromise longevity/function of the head. The head guy said its normal to apply a bit of weld to 30+ year old alloy heads and it will be fine. Any information out there? Quote
NZeder Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Weld is ok I have seen a number of E88, N42's all with weld around these areas of corrosion you are talking about - a number of them race cars that see high temps too and never a problem. I would be more concerned about the heads hardness for any performance application. Re the N42 injector notches they should be fine - however my head guy just welded them up when he knew I was running triples - again a race type setup so this was also done to aid in the flow. Quote
