stevo_gj Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Hey guys, My auto-manual conversion is my number 1 priority in terms of cashflow, and I've been told I need to source a pedal box for the conversion. Anyone got one lying around? Cheers Steve Quote
maddos Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Pedal boxes are actually the same. Just need the pedal and bolt bits. Problem is places like allz won't split a full assembly. Quote
Scoota G Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 You might want to check out other datsun models around the same year as many parts are interchangeable. I did a conversion on a 180B and used two automatic pedals cut down to fit the manual pedal rubbers Quote
RBZ 260 Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 scootag is right. i ended up sourcing a manual box for small fortune till later all i could have done is to use another brake one and cut the pedal to suit manual pads. easy. also auto ones are very cheap. good luck. also clutch master u can use from early nissan ie 180B 200B etc..... stevo_gj Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 Ok I have found a 1981 280zx at the wreckers with a manual pedal box, but I've been told it may not be the same as the 240 and 260!! Before I fork out the cash for it I figured I had better check with you guys as to whether I can use the parts from it. Assuming that I cant use it, what were the other models of around the same age I should look at? 180Bs? There were quite a lot of different datsuns at the wreckers but I wasn't sure which ones had the same pedal boxes. Cheers Steve Quote
Scoota G Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Try these models 260C 280C 240K Not sure about the 280ZX one's but take in your pedal and compare if you can. Quote
