Hey guys im trying to remove an electronic distributor form my l24E and it seems stuck ive un done the 2 bolts and tried pulling it out but it just feels stuck i didnt know how hard to pull and am cautious of busting it.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

If you have removed the two 10mm bolts that hold the base of the distributor to the front timing cover, there is usually a gasket that is between the two. It takes a bit of effort but I sometimes remove the bolts, then re insert the dizzy and tap it from side to side gently, then it does free itself. Don't beat the living crap out of it though!

the 2 10 mm bolts that dimitri is talkin bout, it looked to have some sought of gasket glue was just stuck tight and i thought that they had a shaft into the motor so was just bein carefull so do i try give it a bit of a tap??

Usually I just grab the dizzy with my hand and wiggle it from side to side (front to back). Thats enough to free it.
