Cars of the World display - November 23rd 2008- Zeds as feature marque

Hi Guys

To further raise the profile of the early Zeds , I am talking to the organisors and have a good chance  of securing the 240/260z as the feature marque at this years Cars of the World display to be held at Morningto Estate Winery on Sunday 23rd November.

As such I'll be looking for as many "presentable" road and race Zeds as possible for the display......hopefully over 50 Zeds! .

(last years feature marque was the Lotus 7- with less than a dozen cars)

I'll keep you posted as info comes to hand.

regards

Hey Alan do you know why the event was lost from holding the event down at Quarantine at Point Nepean? Maybe it got to rowdy? But I thought they were still holding other similar events down there.

From what I heard it was a combination of complaints from residents around traffic congestion(Portsea money talks) and the new charges introduced by the quarantine station to use the venue (to the food venders) and possible damage to the grounds by vehicles.

The new venue has great views across the bay and lots of nice green lawns for picnics etc and being a winery , seller tours are available

Guys

Still some way off however, a further update on the COTW display.

After much negotiation, the organisers of the COTW will be Featururing all Nissan Datsun Sports vehicles at this years display with particular focus on the Roadster, Zed and GT-R marques

So we will be looking for as many Zeds as possible for the line up.

We also hope to have a new R35 GT-R at the display courtesy of Nissan.

cheers

Guys

The COTW Display has been confirmed for Sunday 23 November at Morning Star Estate, Mornington.

Nissan will be a feature manufacturer with the feature marques being Roadster, Zeds and GTRs, we hope to have examples of every type and model (including the R35).

The other feature manufacturer is Holden (60th birthday) so it will be a massive event.

Entry forms are available, $25 for Show n Shine,  $30 for Concours d' elegance (proceeds to Retina Australia), Entries received prior to Oct 3rd receive a glossy event program free.

The NDSOC are reserving 40 spaces for a club display, due to the expected huge response entries may not be accepted on the day into the main display area......so get your entry in early.

For those interested please PM me and I will email you the entry form.

cheers

Alan
