Tripple 40Mm Mikuni Carbs With Mikuni Intake Manifold And Linkages

Hi

 

Selling these babies as I'm changing my inducion system for more power. The carbs had been rejetted and tuned by Stuart Wilkins MotorSport and are in the car till the end of this week, if one wants to see them run. Car starts 1st time, every time and idles beautiffuly with a mild cam. I wasnt sure what to be asking for original Mikunis, but judging that rubbish, untunned Webbers sell for $2,500 on Ebay, I think $3,300 for ready to go, classic japanese, recondittioned, jetted and matched carbs, is fair.

40mm tend to sell on the cheaper side. The Mikuni Manifold is desirable to North American's who want a short runner.

I just saw people paying $2,500 for Spanish Webbers, maybe someone will see value as I did for what I consider, much better and sorted Mikunis (full rebuilt done less than 2000 km's ago)..

 

Anyway Gents, open to offers..They need to go..I have a new set on the way from Japan 45mm and Stewart will be tweaking these for me soon with a better cam etc..

I would say that a set of unrebuilt 40s would sell around $1,200 AU without manifold. Add $300 - $400 + for Mikuni Manifold. Then factor in rebuild and tuning costs + misc hardware etc.. Probably hit $2k easily.

 

If someone has a similar engine spec to you might be able to bolt these on?

Tuning is really irreverent as they will have to be re-tuned for what ever engine they go on..... 

Tuning is dead money if your selling carbs.

PS. Tuning may be out slightly for a different engine, but it will be 95% there with few tweaks it will work perfectly on any L setup, so money not all wasted

$3k is a good offer! I should probably have not said anything to be honest. Mikuni's are getting good money lately. These are a later style 40mm carb too.

A couple of tips if you like.

 

1. You misspelt Triples (1 P not 2).

2. You should include PHH in your item description title. Since there is lots of Mikuni / Solex carbs and PHH is specific to side draught.

3. You should probably add "Solex" to your title also, since people search for both Mikuni / Solex.
