Aaron Neubauer Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Thats a new one! 'Children eater spec'! Looks good and I await the video to come! I'm hoping that number plate is a photoshop..... :-\ Quote
modular9 Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 Ok so took a bmw it was great . But the head gasket blew. So I gotta take the head off. In my research i have found some information about the 5th cylinder cooling problems and as such will be looking at doing some modifications to the radiator and thermo fans as well so this is a golden opportunity to get the cooling fixed as well . but some good news. 1. The gasket set i ordered is on special ! I get 93 bucks off. 2. Found a davies craig fan setup i ordered for the xb coupe that i didnt use so I can now have 2 on the datto. Which should help the 5th cylinder prob. I do have to reroute another 12 v feed for the other fan. ( currently running one big arsed fan ) Now I just need a knowledgeable large breasted woman to do the work on my car for me while i quaff beers at an abnormally fast rate supervising her work. Not out of the realms of possibility. Pics to come of destruction and build up as /when it all happens. Quote

. Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I'm glad you included the pen in the photos for scale. Now if you can just send me that same pen so I can measure how many pens wide and deep my flywheel is. Quote
Aaron Neubauer Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 What kind of BMW was it that you beat? I'm glad you included the pen in the photos for scale. Now if you can just send me that same pen so I can measure how many pens wide and deep my flywheel is. Metric pen or imperial pen? Quote
tbscobraZ Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Oh and the ride height measurement is a beer bottle without the neck high. Trip to the grog shop for measuring tools perfect. Quote
acf321 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Hey Mod9 ... what a great project ... love the colour and name as well !! Can you please run me through how you did that crinkle coat (inc paint brand and technique) I am trying to work out a way to do it at the moment and there seem to be about 400 different opinions, and methods, albeit nothing looks as special as the finish you have on your cover. Cheers Adam Quote
