R200 4.875 Or Similar Ratio Wanted

Hi guys,   

 

 I am chasing a 4.875 or similar ratio R200 diff or just gear set for my 260z track car.    I am running a 4.375 LSD R200 at the moment but have just swapped to 17" rims so am now needing to lower the gearing.     Cheers.

Thanks David,    Will let you know if I decide to sell the 4.375.     Will mostly likely keep it though as it is a good ratio for faster tracks, am mainly wanting the 4.875 for Morgan Park which suits a bit lower gearing.

Geoff, I think Kameari do a crown and pinion set in that ratio for an R200 but they are about $1,500. What about the R180 route?

Thanks Mike, Yes its looking like the R180 might be the best option. I have a few 4.875 R180's here so might put the C and P in a Subi LSD with the 27 spline adapter shafts or look out for an LSD Nissan R180.       Losing some car weight as well as a bonus!

The Subi diff option is the cheapest. You can pick one up for between $600 -$1k plus stub axles. Nissan clutch pack LSD centres are $1800 alone. Aftermarket LSD centres are similar prices. It's an expensive exercise whichever way you go. Don't forget the Subi option with Stewart Wilkins stub axles uses R200 half shafts which makes switching between R180/R200 diffs less painful although you have to change moustache bars too.

One of my diffs is an R180 4.625 from the front of a 720 ute. I then had an LSD centre from a Subi jammed in with a small amount of dicking about.

I run the beta motorsports stub axles.

My other diff is a 3.9. I find these are good ratios for short and long tracks.
