scrumpy Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I've got an F54 L28 block. I'd like a proper true roller chain; guids; cog kit. Any soul out there know who; where and how much they go for. I contacted a mob called Romac in South Australia; but they nolonger make them due to a lack of demand. Will only make a run of 50: Bollocks I said. Any clues? Quote
PZG302 Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Gotta ask, why??? The standard timing chain setup is cheap, reliable and easy to fit. There are plenty of big powered L series motors out there using the standard chain set up. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 11, 2008 Administrators Posted March 11, 2008 You can get one of these from Kameari for high performance / high revving L-series engines. http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt/pd858282 A little expensive :S Quote
scrumpy Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 Whoa there Neddy. Rang Essendon Nissan in Melbourne for L28 timing chain kit. Blew me. Timing chain: $120 Tensioner: $66 2 Guides: $76 2 Sprockets: $210 Looks like Nissan Australia will have some rusty junk on hand in 10 years. Checked US Part suppliers (Nissan Surplus). Beck Arnley OEM Kit containing All bits = $104 minus postage No wonder I'm avoiding buying Z stuff locally like the plague. There's profit and then there's wanton scraping of my rear end. The internet rocks. Thanks guys. Quote
