Hi,

Just hoping to get some clarification from someone who is more familiar with 260Z's than I.

I am looking to purchase a 1977 260Z from a seller in Melbourne. However, the documentation indicates the engine number begins with "C26xxxxx" (i.e. The rego papers and the PPSR check)

Can I assume this is an error and should be L26?

Cheers.

I would imagine so yes, why don't you ask the seller for photos of the engine number in the engine bay to confirm?

It wouldn't be too hard to get this wrong. The font used for the 'L' stamped/engraved onto the block looks a like a cross between an 'L' and a 'C'.

(L24 pic used - but font is the same)
