aussie240z Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 All, Am looking to get aircon into the zed before the next fund raising rally (a week and a few thousand km's in north west NSW in August next year.) so my nav (also wife) enjoys the week close quarters "adventure" a bit more than our last "hot and sweaty" adventure - and that was the on road component! This time around we are doing the trek4kidz rally raising funds for Starlight Childrens Foundation. I have been looking at various options from 260z/280zx options through hot rod under dash/built in kits to adapting something from one of the smaller production options. i have a couple of spare dash's that I could "engineer" to suit with under dash room the key. So a question to all, is if anyone has parts, a complete set, whatever of aircon from a zed that is for sale, please let me know. If any other (plausible) solution possibilities, happy to hear them. I have a few months to get sorted prior to having to work on installing so time to work on options. Thanks in advance and look out north west NSW next year!! Cheers Ian Quote
PeterAllen Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Ian I just got mine back from an air/con shop today. I fitted all the components but I had them do the plumbing and gas the system. It a Vintage Air mini unit I obtained through the Nth Carolina Speed Shop a few years ago (I couldn't get anyone else to ship). I ran the plumbing through the air intakes in the guards.
