I know there is a lot of talk about brake upgrades for the S30 cars.

But what about there younger brothers in the form of the 280ZX's?

I have a 2 seater 280ZX that is currently getting a suspension upgrade. While its up on blocks I would like to upgrade the front brakes.

Does anyone know (or care) if the the Hilux (S12+8W) conversion bolts straight on as with the S30 cars?

Winton sprints are fast approaching, I feel that I am running out of time.

Cheers,

Simon

The 280zx (HS130) has the same ear spacing as the S30 = 3.5" which is also the same as some porsches ;) so the toy calipers will bolt up. The question will be the offset/height so what rotor will work with the setup. So it might only be a caliper upgrade ie the offset/height might = stock vented 10" rotor. Best thing to do is get a set of calipers or see if someone will loan you one - take some measurements then browse the DBA catalogue for a rotor that will work etc.

MSCA, or Alfa club?  I have the same feeling with a large list of 'want to dos', and not much spare time, but I'm planning my track debut for the Alfa club sprints, which are the other end of March to MSCA (who stole our driver training weekend!)  The stress will really set in for me  in March, I reckon....

I will find out tonight as my dad is taking a strut to a toyota wreckers to check fitment while I stay back at work to make the extra bits needed to fit the suspension.

Then we are meeting up at the new meeting venue for the NDSOC, hope its better than the last venue......hard to beat the jag club rooms though.

Might have a look at the DBA website....
