Hey guys

I have been looking at my cylinder head lately and as usual cause I'm a newbie I've come up with some questions that I've tried researching but haven't had much luck. The head is an E88 unit and what I'm trying to work out is its past. I recently discovered that the person who use to own my 240z worked with Gordon Dobie and he did some engine work on my Z. I gather he fitted bigger valves (44 and 35mm). But i was wondering if there's a way to tell if its been ported? Also do all ports need to be the same size, cylinder 3 and 4 have roughly 36 -37mm exhaust ports but the rest are around 32mm. Also there's some damage to the combustion chamber in cylinder 3 which I've taken a photo of and would love your opinion on

Thanks guys, go easy on me  :)

I'm not sure what you are asking? ???

Perhaps call Gordon and take the head around to him...? Maybe Luke did the work to it.

If you want it repaired PROPERLY' for use, send it down to Les ;)

Sorry about that. In short i am asking weather its alright that the middle two exhaust ports are not the same size as the others in diameter ? As well as if theres a way to tell if its had some porting?. Ive asked Gordon but he worked on so many that he couldn't remember details which is understandable. He did say he remembers doing some engine work on it but there's a chance luke did a bit of it as well. Don't suppose you know anything about the car/luke?
