coilovers info needed for 260Z

Hi guys,

 

i have been quoted $3500 for custom made adjustable height/damper coilovers for a 2+2 260Z.

 

What do you guys recon for the price?? Am i being fleeced??

 

i wont be competing in any rallys or races but with experience i want coilovers because of the engine setup of the Zed RE: loads of torque from the donk.

 

Any suggestions on better prices and whom to speak to in Melb??

as bad as it seems, 3500 isnt that bad of a price considering they are custom etc... but thed just be shortening your struts and welding some coils on etc... just really matters what shocks and other adjustability you can get

 

consider importing some from the US, possibly be cheaper, i havn't looked into it yet,

I know that costa is in the process of installing coilovers in his car and from memory he offered me the same set up. It was far less than $3500 but Like Nate said it depends on the type of shocks quoted etc. Give Costa in Clifton Hill a call if you can reach him, I know he's quite busy. 0422 259 727.

well, i know Z-shop do a type of coilover conversion - cut your struts down by the required amount of lowering, fit yellow koni adjustables from some other z, and weld on adjustable spring seats. Quoted me 1500 front and rear - not sure if that meant 1500 each end, or all up.
