But i will definetly take up that advice as money will not be an issue...but doing things to the car must be perfect cause i got a little boy whose now starting to walk and i really cant wait to whack his Recaro baby seat in the front seat and go for a cruise, so i need everything to be perfect! Thnx Gav, Once i get the Zed i'll do the following at the same time First thing will be to put new ball joints and suspension parts....maybe looking at polyurethene bits n pieces.....so it'll track nice n straight! Secondly will be give it a thorough tune as i'll drive it as is for 12 months until i suss out the engineering side of a RB26TT Thirdly will be to replace all seal rubbers. Fourth is to strip interior and sound deaden the whole thing Oh! Can anybody recommend any place that can re-do the aircon to the Zed?? being a 30+ year old car i know that the unit has to be modified to accept the new gas refridgerant. Hopefully i can find the one mechanic that can do all the above in one hit. I ask u guys because there some good Zeds out there and most importantly, i want to suport the Zed community and mechanics by giving my cash to those that do the right job. Cheers!

Its good to know that there are some mechanics that specialise in these cars that are 30+ years. the last time i needed a Zed part was like 10 years ago at ZSpares in Clayton.........Crikey.......its been that long :shock: Once i get the Zed i'll drop by to the workshops for sure. Hi guys, Am about to finalise the purchase of a Zed soon.......cant wait! I see alot of shmick looking zeds here so i gather theres gotta be some workshops in Melbourne that thoroughly know the Zeds inside out. I spent some time in the SEARCH function and found nothing apart from Costa, but not sure that the workshop is still in operations. Therefore, what i want to ask is can anybody recommend any workshops at all for me close to the South East burbs of melb....but am willing to travel! I need a mechanic that can take care of servicing and tuning with the odd modification here n there....suspension, drivetrain and mechanicals. Thanking everybody in advance!

Thnx again mate! I have no idea of where to go so i truly appreciate it. Yeah bummer, unfortunetly i got a feeling it will be pricey. With the mob in Preston, have they actually made one for the Zed?? But i will get all mods done to be engineered as i dont think i will sell this Zed again......i already regret selling my first one.....dude wrote it off a year after buying it off me :cry:

Hi guys, i have been quoted $3500 for custom made adjustable height/damper coilovers for a 2+2 260Z. What do you guys recon for the price?? Am i being fleeced?? i wont be competing in any rallys or races but with experience i want coilovers because of the engine setup of the Zed RE: loads of torque from the donk. Any suggestions on better prices and whom to speak to in Melb?? Thnx guys.

Hi guys, whats the best way to upgrades the brakes on a 260Z?? i have a certain power that i am aiming for and i know the stockers wont cut it. Will any 4 pot brakes from a GTR or late model Nissan fit?? as i am definetly after 4 pots for the front....but anyone make any suggestions for the rear?? Thnx again in advance!

hi guys, question is, is it possible to make a bigger fuel tank like a drop tank for a 260Z 2+2?? And if there are anyone manufacturing these fuel tanks could i get there contact details?? i am planning on retrofitting a late model turboed engine and wanted to fit in the largest tank i could find as i dont want to be filling up the tank every 250kms thnx guys in advance!

hi guys, i know its possible to fit retractable seatbelts on the front seats BUT is it possible to fit them on the back seats?? The only reason why i ask is because of my boys baby seat which we'll need for a good 5 years! i want to totally restore a 260Z but with modern touches so im a bit anal in regards to modification to the Zed. Hi guys, My names Cam! im from Melbournes South East. I have been looking everywhere for this site and finally found it! So many guys here with the coolest looking Zeds anywhere. Anywayz, during my uni days i used to get around in a 260Z with an L28 Turbo donk....great fun for getting it sideways :twisted: Now ive got a little baby boy an bought the wifey a new territory so i guess its time for myself to get a play thing. Im definetly after a 260Z 2+2 and nothing else....the back seats gotta hold a baby seat i am going to leave the body stock except with 17s or 18s on all fours! The engine will either house a RB26TT or maybe if it'll fit an 350Z donk. i already ride a twin turbo subaru so i need the power still....but just to the rear wheels muahhh haa haa ha hhaaaaaaa! hopefully i'll catch up with u boys! Oh! ps. If anybody knows of any 260Z for sale...please get in contact with me. Thnx guys!
