Mr260z Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I'm seriously considering taking my zed back to carbs. It's an EFI L28 and the reasons for wanting to go back to carbs is really just for the simplicity and cleaner look It's just running standard 280zx injection. I'd only be going to twin carbs at the moment and have got a couple of carbies but need a manifold. Money's really tight at the moment so triples aren't an option. So what's everyone's thoughts ? Do I persist with tidying up the EFI or go carbies? Quote
phillay Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 You're not really going back to carbs as they were EFI to start with. You have to source the carbs, then fuel for low pressure, then you will need to have the cars made to work with an L28. Not really sure if it's ideal when money is tight. I went from Efi to carbs, it wasn't that hard; but small things add up quickly. Quote
lightmaster240z Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 It a 260z :)that has been converted to EFI Quote
phillay Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I meant the L28 was efi to start with I guess you would still have the bits from your old L26 so you're going to save a fair chunk of money Quote
bryan3976 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 You can strip alot of the manifold for a cleaner look if that's all your after . Quote
