Another rookie question - dash lights !

Hi guys,

 

Probably a silly question but I've got dash lights working for the 3 gauges in the centre (eg fuel gauge, temp) but not on the 2 in front of the steering wheel eg Speedo...

 

Any ideas?

Each gauge has its own bulb/s have you checked the bulbs for the speedo & tacho ?

If the bulbs test OK check for 12V at the bulb socket (with the headlights on    )

Also make sure the bulb sockets are clean and the bulb is a snug fit

The bulb holders in the gauges have small metal "tabs" that earth on the metal gauge body itself so if that's not earthing, no bulb will be on. I have that same problem on my 240 as only the clock lights up even though I have replaced every globe when the dash was out. Looks like I have to remove it again and fix a few issues while its out.
