Riceburner Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 This may be a stupid question. I have a stock fuel tank modified for targa use with twin pickups. Question is, if I run two Pierburg pumps (flow @2.4psi each) off each pickup then join them into a 'Y' piece and onto the stock supply rails will this alter the supply pressure or will I get double the flow rate at the same pressure at the carbs? Cheers, Gareth. Quote
dat2kman Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 It wont be quite double, in both pressure and litres per minute, but it will be up there. Running a pressure reg up in the engine bay somewhere? It is only the higher pressure Injection fuel pumps that put heat into the fuel, the fuel return is sometimes warmer temp. Quote
Riceburner Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 No pressure reg at the moment, the FCR's can handle up to 3psi before the floats get overpowered. It's just an idea I had for down the track if I need more flow. When I do decide to run twin pumps I'll get a regulator too. Thanks Jason. Quote
d3c0y Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Just run a carter 4070, 120LPH at 3.5psi. They really aren't as bad as everyone says. I have two -6 outlets on my new tank and that setup with a Holley reg. Quote
