JP Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Easily the best parts dealership I have dealt with so far with a great knowledge of S30Z. Highly recommended Quote
matt drago Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 I'll double that. I've asked Trevor about many spare parts and he has always been helpful. Quote
JP Posted October 31, 2007 Author Posted October 31, 2007 Thats the one, Trevor. I was about to say Terry but I thought I would double check Quote
Charlie Boy Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I've used Trevor quite a bit and he's always willing to look up parts from my vague descriptions. A recommendation from me too! C Quote
V8Datto Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 What sort of parts can you still buy from a dealership? (Other than engine) Quote
Charlie Boy Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 You would be suprised what you can still get! It's just a case of knowing the part number or having someone who will take the time to find them for you. RingRingRingRing extra extra read all about it, Nissan now have 240Z door trims in stock Get them before the Yanks buy them all up Sorry I'll get my coat. C Quote
V8Datto Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Give me an example of something that's hard to get on our Z's, but anyone could just walk into the dealer and buy off the shelf/order in? intrigue me Quote
Charlie Boy Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Half the stuff you see on ebay in the US that says hard to get where do you think they get them from in the first place! I would suppose that door trims would be one as they've been going for up to $800us on ebay but you can buy them from Nissan for $400au and you don't have to pay for shipping. Otherwise do you want a list of the parts I've got? Maybe you could buy loads of parts and sell them as super rare parts on ebay. But yeh seriously they still don't have a lot of things but don't automatically go to ebay just because you think you won't get them from Nissan. What I have done in the past is to take a copy of the ebay pictures and send them to Trevor and he then finds the part numbers and there availability! C Quote
V8Datto Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I'm some what surprised, When I'm reassembling mine I might give him a ring Sound's like this Trevor guy is one helpful dude! Quote
Charlie Boy Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Trevor has some door trims in stock I would grab them as who knows how many Nissan has made. I think its been about 5+ years when they were NA so they may sell out next week or in 5 years better to be safe than sorry, I got two sets Other things to get would be centre consol, heater control panels throttle control knob etc etc etc..... Happy hunting... C Quote
JP Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 No centre consoles, and not much in the way of panels other than bonnets. Quote
Charlie Boy Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I got a center console for a 73 the other day The early type with the throttle control is made of GRP and they don't crack so there not made. Yeh we can only hope that Nissan will pull out the old stamping tools for the panels but that would cost millions of $$$ C Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 14, 2008 Moderators Posted January 14, 2008 Trevor at Brighton Nissan always seems to go out of his way to help even with finding the right part numbers in the database. Recently bought the two heater hoses that run through the firewall. He knew exactly what I was after! Quote
