I am lowering my 240z and the springs that the PO provided seem to be too large to fit in the spring seat/perch - It seems to me that the springs are perhaps not meant for standard 240z suspension?

I have attached some pics and would love some insight if anyone has experienced this problem with aftermarket suspension. The standard spring sits nicely in the perch, while the aftermarket spring sits out of the intended groove as you can see in the photo. They are clearly different widths when placed alongside each other.

If they are wrong I'll be in the market for some low king springs, in case anybody has some they are not using...

Cheers,

James

Thanks 44014 not sure why but needed affirmation that the fit was not right! haha

Might be clutching at straws here but should the taller springs be for the rear or the front? I had presumed the rear.

The set I have are not consistent in diameter, and the taller spring fits the front spring seat/perch better.

The two taller springs are around 114mm in diameter edge to edge (but fit far better as per pic), and the shorter springs are around 118mm edge to edge. (The stock front springs are 110mm edge to edge)

Has been a long time since I played with standard zed springs sorry.

Thanks Doug, helped me confirm my suspicion - on the hunt for a suitable set now.
