Hi guys,

I'm just putting up a list of wanted items which I hope to accumulate over a period of time, these are parts I'm missing to make my 72 more original.  :P

1. OEM 5 speed gear knob for 240z

2. Drivers Door Mirror for (RHD) 240z. - I know you can get LHD ones, but I want a proper AU market 1 ;).

3. Undertray for 240z (goes below radiator) - most Z's are missing these, but they help with cooling etc..

4. Diamond Vinyl - any condition - can be ripped / torn / dirty - just be complete so I can get replica made etc.. - needed for trans tunnel, rear of stowage bins, strut towers, full set.

5. Datsun front fender badges - the ones that sit near the lower front sills behind the front wheels.

Gav, I have a 240 undertray I don't need anymore and will be heading into Sydney on the 23rd. Can meet at end of the Newcastle freeway to drop off if you're interested.

Gav,

If your getting Diamond Vinyl to get a replica made, there might be other members in this forum might want this as well...

including me... hahaha  ;D

Sounds good mate, I should be able to meet up with you to collect.

My mobile is redacted.

Is it clean or nice and filthy? Just so I know if I'll need some old rags/clothes to lay down in the car etc..

That is actually what I was thinking mate. I'd love to get it properly made up (looking as OEM as possible). As I'm sure others would be also interested. Depending on how it works out I might try and do more projects like this to offer hard to get parts to the Z-car community.

If there is 1 thing I love about early 240z's it's that diamond pattern interior. Mine was replaced with carpet in the 80s I think. Not bad, but not my cup of tea either. I recently got some door trims - which I'm excited to fit up.

I'm also thinking of getting rid of the Recaro seats

And replacing them with something more period correct.

But I should start a build thread before I go off topic here ;).

Reasonably clean, but wouldn't hurt to have a few rags to put it on.

I will be leaving Brisvegas at about 6:00am on the Saturday so should be at the end of the freeway about 5:00pm Sydney time depending on road works.

Just wanted to say thanks to Matt /  PZG302 for the stone/undertray and the chat on Saturday evening. It was nice to meet you and nice drive to the Blue Mountains.

I've found some dimanond vinyl in the states but price of it + shipping and almost worth just buying brand new.

Found another on Yahoo! auctions but by the time I pay for broker fees etc.. it's not worth buying a ratty old set.
