Chances that 280zx has a R200?

Hi,

 

What are the Chances that a series 2 280zx 2+2 with 5 speed has an R200 diff?? According to the person that owns it , it is 100% original.

I was told a whole was car selling and went and had a look, but couldn't get under their (it was basically a yard full of scrap impossible to get around).

 

I need it for the complete running gear (+r200) , but they wont let me just 'pull it out' to have a look, they said "if I want it, I have to buy it, or its not moving". (they have no idea about it the car or anything in it, as it was a just a car they drove years back).

 

Is it 100% certain that it has an r200 ??

 

I read a few webpages (American) and majority say they do, but I thought id ask the more educated persons on this forum...

My 1981 manual has a R200 and and owners manual says:

 

Manual R200 3.700

Auto R180 3.545

 

Don't know if all year models are the same though....anyone ?
