Hey my name is Edan, I'm the owner of Silver Mine Motors in USA.

I'm going to be visiting your beautiful country in 3 weeks.

If you are interested in getting any brake upgrades for your S30 I could bring some parts in my suit case and mail them, or meet you when I arrive.

I can only bring small light items like all the custom made brackets and spacers, not actual calipers and rotors. you would have to source those parts in Australia.

our website is silverminemotors.com

look at all our brake kits and let me know if you want any parts.

here are a few pictures of the brake kits we sell for S30.

this is our rear disk conversion. for S30. brackets cost $160, lines $75

What are the stage 4 rear caliper and discs off? And is that rear setup balanced with the stage 4 front which i previously purchased off you?

And are you coming to Melbourne?

In each of the photos above,

Seeing as we will need to source the brake rotors, and the calipers here in Australia,

What are the DBA numbers for the rotors?

What model and year car are the calipers from?

What are the DB numbers for the pads?

Obviously USA items, but with cross referencing of numbers, we should be able to source these here in Aus!

The flexible brake lines, what are the DOT approval stampings, as we will need to ensure they are equivalent to ADR's ( Australan Design Rules, our Dept of Tranport equiv here!)

The brackets do look very well manufactured!

Ahh this would have been good a couple of months ago! Haha we just finished putting the rear Stage 4 (see here http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,12802.30.html). Parts are well made and the braking with the hilux 4 pots up front as well seems pretty good. I would recommend a caliper windback tool for any stubborn pistons which we seemed to have on one side. Also the handbrake does just bolt up although we have to change the leverage on my handbrake to get better grip. It is holding on moderate hills at the moment but not enough for some of the hills around here.

Also interested in part numbers for pistons/rotors and pads for when it comes time to replace mine. Surely one of the aussie fords is using the same piston?

I'm interested in a pair of the spacers for the stage 4 front brake kit - however I'd need to know the thickness of the 2 spacers types (for both the 240z and 280z hubs) so i can do some measurements/maths and work out which ones i need - I wont be running the toyota calipers due to the large piston diameter yeilding too much front bias (compared to my intended rear setup), rather I'll be running some volvo 4-pots on a custom bracket which will likely result in a different caliper offset to the toyota based set up.

Also interested to know which calipers and rotors the rear brackets are intended for - would be sweet if they work with the common S13/14/15 rear caliper and Z31 300zx rear rotor combination!  Myself and a mate recently lost over $600 (total) after the order was lost by Australia Post and the great bloke  >:( at Modern Motorsports couldn't be bothered chasing the postal insurance claim or responding to our emails :(

Retro z: The stage 4 rear calipers and rotors are off an America 2006 ford Mustang GT.

dan 260z: the thinner 280z spacers are 8mm thick and thicker 240z spacers 17mm thick.

imackZ: currently we do not have any rear upgrades for the 280zx.

that's Okay , have done an upgrade using ED ford falcon rears (similar to mustang) and 350z rotors (they are vented which is nice, using a steel bracket welded directly on.
