[QLD] Subaru STi R180 LSD 3.9 ratio

Hey Guys,

Had some stuff shipped over from Japan recently and one of these such items is a low KM R180 LSD. Perfect bolt in conversion (there is a thread on hybridz on how to use your stock stub axels) for 240Z/260Z and the good 3.9 ratio that matches the stock diff on a manual. Looks in good order inside and feels nice and tight.

Just out of interest do you know if the rear covers the same bolt spacing as 70's Datsun r180's?

They look the same to me. 

Is this the Viscous or Clutch pack style LSD?

It's a Suretrac which is still a mechanical torque sensing LSD like a Quaife, just not clutch type. I dont think any STis come with viscous LSDs from what i have seen.

For anyone that doesnt like the ratio, from what i've read you can swap the pinion and ring gear out of any other R180 diff and make it whatever ratio you want! It's just a K series diff body at the end of the day.
