  1. Hi Mark, The heater is currently working, those are reskinned original seats not different seats all together and the car currently comes with ssr reverse mesh wheels, not the 280zx iron cross wheels. Thanks, Andy

  3. Hi guys, I am putting my car on the market for all of you. It is a green 240z with matching chassis and engine numbers. The goods: Engine runs really well always on 98 Body panels are mostly rust free only light surface rust Interior is in decent condition with spare carpets Comes with all chrome fittings and badges as they were taken off for repainting. Has ssr reverse mesh wheels on it. The not so goods: Paints in rough condition will need a full sand down respray. I will put up the list of modifications done to the car as well as photos tonight. Price is 23k including all spare parts including a set of 40s triple webers therefore not negotiable. Give me a call on 0405 703 355 if interested.
  4. Gav you got me! As dat240z has said that was my aim, But now after thinking about this rationally it was a stupid idea. Sorry for the trouble Thanks
  5. Hi guys, It's been a while since I posted. In Melbourne I'm putting my 240z up as I'm looking to swap it for another Z whether that be a 240z or a 260z as long as its 2 seater. The car is running very well, its got the original l24 matching numbers engine to chassis, had a heap of suspension work done and a custom exhaust system all done by previous owner. The bodywork is in good Nick, no structural rust, small surface rust nothing major. Paint is in rough condition. The reason why I'm looking to swap is for my own personal reasons. Please pm me for more info. Thanks Andy
  6. Hahaha I'm definitely considering it but I've always liked a black car and definitely loved how a black z looked although its not original. I'm not too worried about what it will do to the value of the car rather I want it to be something that i'll fully enjoy to my hearts content. I don't think this car is going to leave my hands for a while and if I don't ever need to sell it I won't I'll let you know how I go with the colour!
  7. Thanks GongZ! I've taken some rough photos of the compliance as well as the interior. I think the interior was originally a beige and the previous owner has re-trimmed it. I will be looking to retrim this interior again anyway to an all black sort of thing. The compliance plate reads: 9/73 103562 Thanks guys!
  8. Hey guys! Thanks for the warm welcome, the car is going to be sitting with me for a while but I know it will be a long build, but it will all be worth it! I'll definitely put it up on the builds sub. Gav i don't think it's an early model but I got some pretty rough pics on me at the moment so I'll put those up. I'll get some better ones up tomorrow Thanks!
  9. Hey guys, To start off, my name is Andy and I'm from the Melbourne Western Suburbs. I've gone to Sydney and taken back with me a 1973 240z. The 240z is currently Green with the paint being slightly rubbed back and primed in certain parts. This will be close to the top of my to do list, as I want it to at least have a nice coat of paint on it. (I'm thinking black) Its still got the original l24 in it as well as a set of triple webers that haven't been put in yet. Its had a heap of suspension modifications done to it due to being built for hill climbs, My trip from Sydney back to Melbourne was a mission having the alternator/battery fail on me in Wallan. (50km from Melbourne) It is now sitting in my garage not running as its still having some electrical problems, but after my pay day I'll be sure to get it running and then snap a few pics of it too! Look forward to learning heaps from everyone and to slowly getting this car up to what I want it to be! Cheers, Andy

  11. Hey guys, I ended up finding a 240z thanks for all the help! I'll be posting up in the introduction thread soon after I pick it up this weekend For now just looking for some wheels that will fit preferably 16s Please educate me on what fits and what doesn't because I really don't know enough. Also, looking for a front spoiler. Many thanks, Andy
  12. Also, How hard is it or expensive is it to change an auto box to a manual?? Thanks
  13. Thanks for all your input guys, I will definitely give the owner a call and see if we can work something out. What's the best/non rip off company to freight this car to melbourne? Or should I just go up there and drive it back... Thanks
  14. Hi Guys, I'm in the market for a 240/260z coupe with preferably minimal rust and a working engine in it. I know this sounds like a lot but if anyones got a rolling shell + an engine I'm happy to talk about that opportunity too. I'm fairly new to all this, never owning a z before. If anyone has a rolling shell + Engine and gearbox ready to go, please pm me to educate me how to get that running. Thanks heaps Andy
