  1. There is a z wrecker in Adelaide called Adelaide z car.
  2. I'm pretty sure it's the standard bonnet I'll have to look tomorrow but it doesn't have bonnet vents. It came with factory ac. I can't check the dash because that is a replacement one. The engine is original. So I assume the gear box and diff are also.
  3. It does ur im unsure if it original it has more of the hot wire rims. Not the 4 spoke zed rim. It does have the full tool kit with wheel chocks and the radio is a hitachi cassette am only. If there is number in there u can tell from? The alloy kick guards on the door entry are just plain one also don't say 260z on them.
  4. Hi I recently bought a stripped down 260 2+2 and can't find the build date stamp, (it could be in a box some where.....) but was wondering if there is some where I can search online for the year! I have the number plates, chassis number, engine number. It seems to have al the plates except build date, still has color code and matching engine chassis plate. Is there a place it is stamped on the body? Cheers ben
  5. Hi names Ben Finally found a 260z 2+2 to do an rb build on. Ground up full resto hoping to be done in 2 years, So this is my 3 rd zed I have owned fist one was when I was 14 and did a rust cut and bog job like any 14 year old ha, but got defected for my track width being 5mm to wide and made me do a regency check (I'm from SA it's our government checking station) took it to my mechanic and found at some stage it had had a front chop done on it and he advised to scrap it ha. so I sourced another one and got all my good things out and built my new zed which. Drive for about a year when I was t boned both I and the other guy had no insurance so I lost my zed (will post pics at some stage). I'm 25 and found a unfinished project that got put in a shed in 1987 and stripped down. They put all the interior in plastic, which is basically perfect. Only things I found was a small 3mm crack in the centre consol at the back of the choke cable. About a 5cm crack in the centre of the dash but it is only hairline and hasn't opened up. 5 cm tear on bottom right hand side of drivers seat near the adjuster. And he sold the indicator stick a year ago. The body had a re skin from the back of the windscreen and drivers seats all the way back so there is little rust. Has a new hatch. Two rust free doors that have some minor dents. New fuel flap. And the rust in the other panels has all been cut out and replaced with new metal (some welds need to be dressed up) and that's how they left it untill I picked it up last Saturday. I plan to strip the remaining paint and surface rust from the panels(some panels were left bare) and media blast the shell minus the roof, that will be strip disked. Once I get it back from the blast everything except engine bay panels and door jams will be coated in KBS rust seal chassis coat and everything primed and body work will begin one panel at a time ha. Then once it's perfect and well rust treated in for a gun metal grey 2pac spray. That's about where my plans end ATM, I know i am leaning to a rb 25 turbo with 25 gear box but the rest I'm unsure about. Breaks, suspension, diff etc. I am open to suggestions. And would love to hear from people located in SA whom have done a similar swap and got it engineered. I will take pics of my progress and upload at some stage. Thanks Ben
