  1. Sold ..... Looking to be heading east.
  2. Vehicle will also come with all the extra parts and manuals as I'll have no real use for them.
  3. Bump, price lowered
  4. Thanks George, I can take it with me as i've owned it for longer than 12months i don't have to pay GST taking it into the country and i've been looking into shipping costs etc. The main couple of reasons for putting it up for sale is saving for a house deposit (usual story) and there is another race car i want to buy in NZ that i have alot more emotional attachment to. If it doesn't sell I will end up taking it with me to add to the collection back home....
  5. Hey Guys, I have an imminent Australian Departure approaching in the next couple of months and I have been thinking about what to do with my 240z and have decided to sell it. You may have seen it in the builds section which has a pretty detailed desription of the work been carried out. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,12216.0.html Work Carried out: Full Engine rebuild- (less than 500km) 50thou over size flat top pistons Bored and decked block Reconditioned head - Larger valves, new guides, new seats and seals fitted Performance Camtech 702 cam fitted with double valve springs ARP Rod bolts New Oil Pump, Water pump, starter and reconditioned Alternator Rebuilt Carbs Triple Delortto DLHA 40's Fitted and dyno tuned Petronix Electronic ignition system fitted New Alloy Radiator New heater tap and hoses Body and Chasis Work- Full Respray All Panels removed for paint Engine bay Stripped and painted Rust Repairs carried out New Window seals Suspension and Steering- New Bushes Fitted through out Arms and subframes sand blasted and painted New Steering Tie rods Reconditioned front brake Calipers R200 Diff The list goes on. The interior remains very much in original condition, some carpets have been replaced but the drivers and passengers mats are in average condition. Dash has cracks. As you can probably tell alot of work has been carried out on this car and the induction noise the triples produce is incredible and handles well since the suspension bushes have been replaced. Price: Sold
  6. Hey Guys and Girls, Its been a while since i've updated this so thought i had better. Been alot of work put into the zed over the past few months and i have managed to get it on the road again. Had to rebuild the carbs as they were full of dirt from sitting around for a long time, managed to find some cheap (but good rebuild kits out of VIC) Once this was carried out the car was started and driven around a little and taken to the dyno. The numbers were not exactly what i wanted but after changing out the main jets to smaller ones we found another 20hp. The (undisclosed) hp numbers i think are being caused by the very old, very restricted "performance exhaust" that was probably fitted in the early 1900's. I'm heading to America early next month and I'm contemplating bringing back a nice set of 6 into 1 headers and exhaust system from thezstore.com ....... be rude not to really. Here's a before and after pic of the engine bay (please ignore the lack of 6th filter i had left it at work) There was a Zed cruise here in Perth so i thought i would take the car along, and there was one other S30 there, a very tidy example too. Other than that i've just been driving the car as much as i can, the weather has cooled off down to low 30's now so its quite nice to go out cruising without the sweaty back. The next mod i think will be buying the car some new shoes and lowering a little bit...... Just wondering what people think this car would be worth market value to sell for insurance and the possibility of sale?
  7. Hey guys, few parts have been sold and have removed from the list.
  8. Update the list, really need this stuff gone. Let me know what you want, make an offer.... Cars finished and we're moving
  9. Sorry I forgot to update that one, the hatch has actually been sold.
  10. Updated, more stuff will be listed as I sort
  11. Here's a shot my friend took just before the tunnel....
  12. At 100kph in 4th its pulling 3100rpm Tire size is 195x70x14
  13. Cars being tuned tonight, i should be a goer even if it is just for the start of the cruise due to prior commitment but I'll help fly the S30 Flag and sing the Dellorto Triples song.
  14. The 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd lag is terrible, which is why I see the 6spd as a potential answer. Gain a gear and have them spaced closer together. I think my diff would be around 3.4, I had it a roughly worked out a while ago.
  15. I just to be able to bang it through the gears and keep it in the power band so to speak (above 4000rpm). I dont really want to have to go to 7000rpm every time. The diff ratio is really tall and I will address at a later time. I think my car was 4spd then converted to 5spd. How much is a gear set? So your saying I wouldnt gain much looking at the ratios below? SR20DET S15 Silvia R 3.626 2.200 1.541 1.213 1.000 0.767 3.382 240Z, 260Z R30 & 31 SKYLINE, FS5C71B 3.321 2.077 1.308 1.000 0.864 3.382
  16. Hy guys, I've recently got my 240z up and going again and had it around the Perth hills today. Now the engine is a slightly worked l24, cam with triples and is very peaky power wise. Where I am going with this is that my current gearbox ratios are terrible and having the engine with little torque down low has amplified the issue. I think it's a standard 240z 5spd, you basically have to red line the engine in first to keep it in the power band for second and 3rd gear which isn't ideal. Has any body on here put a 6spd behind there engines before? I was looking at the other threads showing how to swap the bell housings over etc, then looking into the ratios the 6spd are quite close together which is what I want/need. I figure now is the time to do it as my gbox mount is stuffed and my clutch I don't think will last too long once the car is tuned correctly. Thoughts and opinions please
  17. Thanks for the input I managed to track some kits down through thornbury carburettors in Vic. $30 a kit and had everything I needed. Also purchasing some air horns off him at very competitive prices.
  18. Finally got the car going tonight ;D Just finished rebuilding the carbs as they were full of crap. Bolted them on, guessed the ignition timing and I'm really surprised at how well it ran with standard Alfa Romeo jetting. I haven't balanced or adjusted the carbs yet so the idle isn't flash but the noise when you get it over 4000rpm is awesome! I can't wait to get it out this straya day weekend

  21. Hey guys, It's coming up to the time my project is nearly complete and I'm starting to clean out the garage. There several things that I don't require and I'll keep listing more as I sort through it all. Please let me know if I'm way off on my pricing.... Money can go towards some rims $300- factory hitachi carbs with manifold, factory air box and mushroom filters. Was working well, removed for triple upgrade $20 - front diff mount $80 - 2x Axles $30 - shifter boot $25 - head gasket , brand new, surplus to requirements. $10 - input shaft/clutch aligning tool. $40 - front calipers, seized suits recondition $60 - electronic distributor, think 280zx. $20 - diff strap $25 - rear subframe components Let me know if you have any questions etc. located north of the river Perth.
  22. The wheels and the amount you lowered look absolutely perfect on that car, well done
  23. Bit of an update, I had the car running the day before I flew out for my holiday back to nz. Not quite sure how to upload the video but it ran.... Pretty badly (not carb tuning what so ever) . Anyway since returning from holiday I'm pulling the carbs apart and giving them a good clean and new gasket kits. Also got my new radiator, $150 of eBay goodness and after some dye grinding got it to fit. I'm working really hard on the car trying to get it going for the up coming WA meeting on 4th February.
  24. Hey guys, I'm in the process of rebuilding my carbs, where in aus is the best place to source carb kits and stacks for the dhla's...?
