  1. Been busy What's the general feeling about orange peel with these cars? Originally I wanted to cut it dead flat, but I'm almost out of steam and looks decent. Just need rubbers, seats and throttle linkages and its time for reg
  2. Progress has been slow, been overseas and fixing up a 13 as a daily Put a ground coat on to rub back before proper colour, show up/fill any imperfections
  3. Well I used the wrinkle paint, very happy with the result Lot of texture, but I think after rubbing some armor all stuff on it, should flatten out/shine up a bit and look more vynil like
  4. Yeah I use a heat gun and spread it around, doesnt work if you leave it like you're meant to unless you apply it like a champ. I know it can handle heat but is it gonna be able to handle UV?
  5. Yeah I was thinking about that, did it on my rocker cover too. I think it may be a little course though? Might look good with armor all on it, might do a test run on something else
  6. Running and driving now, made a 2.25" exhaust with straight through muffler at back, sounds amazing at idle Final 2pac prime, hopefully paint it before I go to the US in a week Fixing dash Deciding what paint to use for the dash, the stuff in the dashboard resto sticky looks good, probably use that if I any find something a bit more original looking
  7. S13/14 SR20DET Spitfire coilpacks - $300 DEFI bf amber gauges 60mm and controller - $old Located northern beaches syd or post - Ryan
  8. Sweet, I think it'll look good. I do like it when the paint is flawless all the way to the sil but I've run out of steam with the bodywork Not sure if I'll use 3M or wurth, I'll update my build thread once it's painted
  9. Has anyone seen stone guard used on the sils, lower front fenders and lower parts of the doors on a 240? I think it would look pretty good even though they didn't come like that. Painting my car next week and the sils need a bit of work to look pretty Thoughts?
  10. Nah got that also. Just needs the ones that run along the firewall and to the pedal Thanks
  11. After throttle linkages for my 240, assuming they're the same for all Have the pedal, brackets on firewall and linkages from carbies to firewall, need everything else In Sydney but going down south coast this weekend, can also pickup ACT Thanks, Ryan
  12. After some seats and door trims for my 240 Will pickup in Sydney Thanks, Ryan
  13. Sorry I mean twin tips, don't want to go overboard as I'll probably be swapping it out. Read a few threads on here, seems the droning at low rpm is an issue. Looking at running a Hooker aerochamber muffler(just to be different) not sure whether to run it in the middle or the back. Would be nice to have twin raw stainless pipes coming out the back but not sure if I'm going to be able to fit a decent muffler underneath.
  14. Saw that a while ago, want to do twin pipes at the back, can save $$$ by doing it myself, might even do stainless
  15. Never been big on build threads, but it feels different with the 240 Bought the '71 240 on eBay as a rolling shell back in Nov(2012). It was missing some gear but was a good body with a lot of original paint and not much rust. Came with the original block in the passenger footwell, which kinda forced my hand to restoring it rather than chopping it up for flares and an SR or RB(which still may happen:)) It's been off the road for a long time, at least 20years I think, so had to do a brake system overhaul. It Chassis appears to have low kms as well, can't find any history on the car though, NSW RTA has no record of it, QLD wouldn't give me anything, nothing on the PPSR. Anyone know anything about the car? HS30-01273 Got a complete L26 with big cam, extractors and 240 SUs off a mate intending to put all the gear on the original block, but decided to just get it running as is first. As it sits currently, getting close to paint. Got the engine running the other day, need to make an exhaust next, not making any friends in the neighborhood currently Hopefully going to have it registered by June - Ryan
  16. Started mine the other day after sitting for 5 years Took plugs out to take pressure off the bearings, dropped a bit of oil down there for rings and turned over by hand. Took a bit to get running, a lot of backfiring, which was fun cause I don't have throttle linkage so did it by hand. What seemed to get it going was tapping the carbs
  17. There is nothing left, it's a bare shell, found out the hard way...
  18. Couldn't see a matching one for the red one but I'll have another look Think they are male and female for the Spade fittings yeah
  19. That sounds like what I need These are what I have left over now; 2x 4 pins, one with the earth fitting, 2x spade fittings and the single red w/white on the right. I'll track down those relays and hopefully that uses up most of those plugs
  20. All the looms are in the car, I connected another plug and spade connector, so left with 2 now What's the thing in the pic above?
  21. Bought the car as a rolling shell, just putting it back together with what I have. I haven't connected the flasher can, might be other connections that become available if route it a different way, just quickly assumed something was missing by the look of those plugs.
  22. It appears to be mounted at your right knee, just assuming these plugs are for the fuse box?
  23. Having a hard time finding a fuse box with the right plugs. These are the connections I have; Are they normal 240? Is there another box I can use? Where can I get one? Thanks guys, Ryan
  24. After a 240z fuse panel/box in syd Will pickup asap Thanks, Ryan
  25. Legends >.< Will the front diff mount be sweet though? Cause it's bolted up like it is, do I need to swap it for another type? Or does that flip as well
